Be Wise

It is by God’s grace we have entered another New Year. Every New Year brings new promises and blessings from God. We all make New Year resolutions and yet at the end of the year many of us fail. How do we put our new resolutions into action? How do we make best of the New Year gifted to us by the Lord?

Eph 5:15-17 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Learn to be wise: How did you live in 2009? Many of us have lived unwisely. We have done many foolish things which displeased God. God is asking us to live 2010 wisely. Understand, our time on earth is limited; therefore, let us make use of every day fulfilling what God has called us for. This year let us not compromise on our Christian values. Let us decide to lead a life per the Word of God.

Make the most of every opportunity: Everyday has new opportunities and God wants us to make the most of every opportunity in our life. Be careful, the devil wants us to waste our opportunities. He is like a thief who robs God given opportunities. Maybe the last year the devil snatched away many opportunities, a lot of your plans did not materialize. This year let us not give up; let us be wise to use our opportunities for God. Be sure how you use your time & money this year, as this is how the devil keeps us occupied in spending our money and wasting our time, thereby distracts us from God given opportunities.

Understand the will of God: Let us not be foolish doing our own will and ending up as a failure. God has a will for you and your family. Understand what His will is through prayer and devotions. God will reveal his will for you. Work hard for it. You and your family will be successful.

May God grant us the wisdom for success this New Year. God Bless You!
